Ferryside Social Enterprise Group was founded as a charitable incorporated origination (CIO) in 2014 to acquire a lease of the former Ferryside Residential Education Centre which had closed several years earlier, and apart from a doctors surgery occupying part of the site, the rest was unoccupied, neglected and deteriorating.
